Since 2012, Xellentro has helped organisations navigate the intersection of technology, business, and sustainability — grounded in 35+ years of real-world IT experience, not just frameworks.
Where Sustainability Meets Profitability.
Most sustainability consultancies understand ESG frameworks. Very few understand the IT systems that drive most of a modern organisation's carbon footprint. And almost none can bridge both with genuine technical depth and certified environmental expertise.
Xellentro exists to close that gap. We were built by IT practitioners who became sustainability leaders — not the other way around. That gives our clients something rare: advice that is both environmentally rigorous and operationally deliverable.
Our mission is to help organisations reduce costs, boost security, accelerate time-to-value, and become genuinely sustainable — through consulting, capability building, and knowledge sharing that creates lasting transformation, not just a compliance report.
From IT delivery leadership to sustainability consulting — a journey shaped by the belief that technology and environmental responsibility must go hand in hand.
Dr. Niladri Choudhuri begins a career spanning IT delivery, project management, and consulting. Deep expertise accumulated across ITSM, DevOps, Agile, and enterprise transformation across global clients.
Xellentro Consulting Services LLP is established in Bangalore with a focus on continuous transformation — helping organisations reduce costs, accelerate time-to-value, and build team capability through consulting and training.
Xellentro becomes an Accredited Training Organisation for AXELOS Global Best Practice. Dr. Choudhuri organises the DevOps India Summit. Xellentro also launches its Sustainable IT Training programme — including the Digital Ecowarriors game-based workshop — establishing early leadership in sustainable digital education.
Recognising that IT operations are a major and under-addressed contributor to carbon emissions, Xellentro formally expands its practice into Sustainable IT consulting. The Digital Ecowarriors programme — a unique game-based Digital Sustainability workshop for corporates, students, startups and professionals — is launched as a flagship awareness offering.
Dr. Choudhuri earns ISO 14001 Lead Auditor and ISO 14064 Lead Verifier certifications. Xellentro launches its Sustainable AI advisory practice, addressing the growing carbon footprint of AI workloads. The Sustainable IT Foundation and Sustainable AI certification programmes go live. Green Computing Foundation is formally incorporated as a Section 8 (non-profit) company — bringing a dedicated non-profit ecosystem to complement Xellentro's consulting work.
As BRSR becomes mandatory for India's top listed companies, Xellentro launches a dedicated compliance and reporting practice. Life Cycle Assessment services are added, enabling clients to quantify environmental impact across the full product and system lifecycle.
Xellentro now operates across five sustainability practices — Sustainable IT, Sustainable AI, LCA, BRSR & ESG Reporting, and Training & Certification — serving clients from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises across India, Singapore, and globally.
With over 35 years spanning IT delivery, consulting, and training, Dr. Choudhuri is one of India's foremost practitioners at the intersection of technology and sustainability. A published author, international speaker, and signatory of the Sustainable IT Manifesto, he has guided organisations across industries on their sustainability journey — from carbon footprint baseline to board-level ESG strategy. He also serves as President of the Green Computing Foundation and as a certified Independent Director.
Dr. Sharmila Mallick Choudhuri brings deep expertise in education leadership and institutional management, currently serving as a School Principal in Bangalore. As a Director at Xellentro, she leads the integration of sustainability awareness into educational ecosystems — driving the Digital Ecowarriors programme and Xellentro's outreach to academic institutions, student communities, and the next generation of sustainable technology leaders. Her unique position at the intersection of education and sustainability gives Xellentro a powerful channel to build sustainability literacy at scale.
We help clients build genuine sustainability — not just tick regulatory boxes. Zero greenwashing incidents among our verified clients is a record we protect fiercely.
Every recommendation is grounded in data, ISO standards, and measurable outcomes. We use ±5% accuracy guarantees and third-party verification readiness as our quality bar.
We work alongside your teams, not above them. Our goal is always to leave your organisation more capable than we found it — embedding sustainability into your DNA, not creating dependency on us.
Sustainability is not a project with an end date. We build continuous improvement systems — dashboards, rhythms, and capabilities — that keep organisations improving long after our engagement ends.
We believe the Global South — particularly India — must lead on Sustainable IT, not just follow Western frameworks. Our work is designed for the specific regulatory, economic, and infrastructure context of our region.
Through the Green Computing Foundation, the Digital Ecowarriors programme, illuminem articles, podcasts, the GreenMind Hackathon, and open certifications, we give back to the community that has given us so much.
Xellentro is the founding organisation behind the Green Computing Foundation — a Section 8 (non-profit) company incorporated in 2023 and dedicated to building a global community of sustainable IT practitioners. GCF provides the ecosystem: education, awareness, peer networks, hackathons, and certification frameworks. Xellentro brings the consulting depth to turn that ecosystem into real organisational change.
Together, they represent the most comprehensive Sustainable IT offering available in the Asia-Pacific region — from the Digital Ecowarriors game-based awareness workshop through to board-level ESG strategy and enterprise transformation.
A unique 4-hour game-based workshop on Digital Sustainability — using the Digital Collage game and thought-provoking discussions. Designed for corporates, students, startups and professionals.
